Prewar is an architecture label unique to New York City and refers to any building constructed between 1900 - 1939 (before WWII). War and Peace is a 1000+ page saga by Leo Tolstoy. Join me in the saga of my prewar townhouse renovation. Along the way, I’ll look at what’s going on in Flatbush, Brooklyn, my new home and a current battleground of irresponsible development and gentrification.
